Social media workshop for businesses with AJE Murcia

By Jester In2 min read

On Friday 16 October 2026 we ran a social media workshop for businesses at AJE Región de Murcia's Next Step session. We covered social media and websites at Espacio 7 in Murcia, within a morning organised by AJE's Acelera Pyme Office from 9:00 to 15:00, so small businesses could leave with ideas to apply the very next day.

Our part was the hands-on one, from 12:00 to 13:30. Rubén and Javier led it with an idea AJE summed up well when announcing the day: social media is much more than posting videos. Behind it you need to understand the client, know who you want to reach and how to do it in an engaging way.

A client's path, in five stages

We started by drawing the path any client follows before buying from you. They almost always get lost at one of these five stages:

They see you

They find you on social media, on Google or because someone mentions you.

They check you out

They look at your profile: the bio, the photos and your Google listing.

Impact

They tap your link or open your website, and decide within seconds whether to stay.

Contact

They message you on WhatsApp, call you or fill in a form.

Reply

How long you take to answer and what you say.

One client drops off at Impact; once it is fixed, the next one gets all the way to a reply.

Live whiteboard with each business

Most of the workshop was work on real cases. With each participating business we went through its path on the whiteboard, stage by stage, until we found the exact point where clients slip away. Often the fix was simple: a bio link that leads to the website's home page instead of a booking page, or a mobile website with no clear button to get in touch.

Each participant left with a sheet listing their improvements in order, starting with the one that takes ten minutes.

Tips for getting started on social media

We shared communication tips for beginners. The first: take care of how you present yourself, so that within two seconds people understand what you do and who it is for. The last: always end with a call to action, because someone arriving from a video needs to know what to do next.

A one-minute video per business

The workshop ends with a hands-on task: each business writes the script for a short video on a card, in four parts ending with an action for the viewer, and records it on their own phone. For posting it we give some guidelines: a caption of 50 to 150 words, 5 to 15 hashtags, and posting it as soon as possible while the idea is fresh.

A four-part script, one minute of recording and three guidelines for posting it.

Thank you, AJE

Thank you to AJE Región de Murcia's Acelera Pyme Office for having us, and to every business that took part. If you couldn't make it, you can start with our free diagnosis: in a few minutes it tells you at which stage you are losing clients.
